With the amount of messages I have received regarding LittleMissCannon’s Baby Shower (plus I am trying to kill time whilst waiting for the arrival) I thought I would create a blog post rather than keep replying to messages with details and links to the business’s and brands that brought my “Boho Baby Shower” vision to life. I will leave the links to everything at the bottom of this post and also keep it short and sweet as the pictures pretty much do the talking.
Of course it was slightly EXTRA – in fact I am not sure how my wedding will top it, but since it’s my first baby and I haven’t had much of a social life these past nine months it was inevitable I would give the Kardashians a run for their money why not! LOL!
So I fell in love with the venue way way back, I have a soft spot for the countryside and I always knew I would host some sort of event here in the future. The Fleece Countryside Inn is set amongst the hills with the most stunning back drop and sweeping views overlooking good old Yorkshire. They do the most amazing pub grub and BBQs during the summer if your ever looking for a hot spot this summer.
With the venue booked at the start of the year the next job was the bespoke handmade invitations designed by Walter and The Boy who specialise in personalised prints and occasion stationery. They also designed the cupcake toppers to match….#BabyC
As my baby brain began to kick in further I decided to pass over the job of design and organising to my close friend and founder of Love and Tulips UK – she specialises in balloon and venue dressing in the North West and alongside that is a very talented florist. You know what they say “it’s not what you know it’s who you know” and in this case I was very lucky, as you can see she did a fantastic job. I simply expressed my vision and the colour scheme and left her to work her magic. The fine attention to detail was perfect in every way and the flower wall and blossom tree made the most amazing backdrop and photo opportunity (these are available to hire).
My beautiful baby shower cake was made with love from the very talented Rose and Kate Bakes based in Manchester. Not only did it match the decor but it was DELISH and also the cupcakes too. I requested the flavour Vanilla and sponge (my absolute favourite) and sent her the vision board and left the rest to her. She kindly delivered the cake to the venue on the day topped with real fresh flowers.
I booked one of my favourite makeup artists to come and paint my face in the morning before the shower, I wanted to keep it quite natural and went for similar warm apricot tones , Stacey came to my house in the morning and made me feel a million dollars as always. I have worked with her in the past and she knows my face very well, her studio is based in Leeds.
So below are the links to all involved. I would highly recommend all of them for any special occasion that you have coming up, whether that be a shower, wedding or party. Each did an amazing job and I couldn’t have been happier. In fact I have already booked them in to come on board for my 30th birthday in June – that’s just how pleased I was with everything they did.

I debated in my head should I be traditional and wear pink to mark I am having a girl HOWEVER at 36 weeks feeling a bit swollen and like a pig in a blanket I decided to keep my outfit simple and of course black is the most flattering.
Outfit: Black Boots – Zara / Jacket – Mango
